Energy Lives Here: The People and Businesses Behind our Work

October 8, 2026

Every successful project starts with people.

Long before construction plans take shape, there are conversations to have, communities to connect with, information to gather and early work to be done.

As Energy Alberta advances the Peace River Nuclear Power Project through its planning and regulatory phases, people and businesses across the Peace Region are helping make that work possible. Together, we’re building a foundation of opportunities for individuals and businesses interested in working with us.

Photographers capturing moments at community events. Caterers bringing people together around the table. Community organizations helping us make connections. Contractors, service providers and advisors bringing their skills, knowledge and local perspectives to Project activities.

They are part of the story of the Project - and we want you to meet them.

Introducing Energy Lives Here

Energy Lives Here is a new blog and social media series sharing the stories of some of the people and businesses Energy Alberta works with across the Peace Region.

We’ll take you behind the scenes to learn more about their work, their stories and the experience and perspectives they bring to the Project.

For Energy Alberta, working locally means drawing on the skills and expertise that already exist in the region. When Project needs can be met locally, we want local businesses and service providers to have opportunities to participate.

That commitment is already taking shape during these early stages. And as the Project progresses, we want businesses and communities to have procurement and workforce information early so they can better understand the types of opportunities that could emerge in future phases.
